YOUR CARPET COULD BE 4000 TIMES DIRTIER THAN A TOILET SEAT!!!

I know how that sounds. You wonder really? Hard to picture that, right?
Did you know that carpets can hold as much as four times their weight in dirt and possibly even more? Carpets hold onto all sorts of dirt, with dust mites, dust, insect feces, insect husks, bacteria, mold, pet fur and pet urine (for those who keep pets). A lot of other allergens also stick onto the fibers of carpets.
You are advised to vacuum your carpets at least twice a week but this is never enough.
Here are some interesting facts I came across:
• 90% of people admit to spilling food on the carpet and eating it. My son is the biggest culprit of the 5 second rule (drop something on the floor and if you pick it up before 5 seconds are over then there are no germs!) If your carpets are dirty can you imagine what filth is going into your/your child’s stomach? We are talking bacteria, insect feces, insect husks…I’ll stop there.
• 75% of people admit to walking on their carpets while wearing their outdoor shoes. Out door shoes pick a lot of grime. Think about it for a second, you step into washrooms daily, you walk on the streets and your outdoor shoes are mostly stepping on very unsanitary spaces. Walking into the house with your outdoor shoes and stepping onto the carpet grinds all that dirt on it and vacuuming alone isn’t going to get rid of it.
• 70% of people admit to moving furniture around to cover stains in their carpets rather than clean the stains. Spills should be cleaned immediately, to prevent stains from forming. If there are stains, stop moving your furniture around and call a professional carpet cleaning service to get rid of them
The misconception normally is that having your carpets professionally cleaned is expensive. I can guarantee that it is affordable. So call the experts and get that muck out of your carpets!
